There are no licence costs for the school. Vermo is licensed by the transport operator that carries your students. The school gets its own account for the office and works with it without signing a contract with us. If your transport operator does not use Vermo yet, raise it with them or book a short call with us.
No. The school office works in the browser, so no installation and no IT approval are required. Parents can use the app for iOS and Android or the browser as well. That keeps Vermo independent of how your school administration is equipped, and it works on older machines and without dedicated school IT.
Parents report their child absent once in the app. The absence appears immediately in the school office, at the transport operator and, if wanted, at catering. The office sees the daily list of all absent children and confirms it digitally. Drivers no longer have to come to the school office, and nobody keeps the same list twice.
Access is role based. The school office sees the children of its own school, the transport operator sees the passengers on its tours, parents see only their own child. The data sits on servers in the EU. Which data a school may pass to a transport operator depends on the school law of your federal state and on the agreement with the school authority. School and operator settle that together before the start.

Yes. Vermo is built for the fixed tours to schools and special needs centres that are typical of exempted school transport, including escorts, wheelchair spaces and changing pickup addresses. Recurring trips across a full school year and short notice changes during the day are covered too. Whether a trip is exempt from licensing is decided by the legal basis of the transport, not by the software.
Yes. Each school gets its own area with its own passengers, tours and contacts. The school authority can additionally get a view across all facilities, for example for capacity, cancellation rates and evidence towards the funding body. How many schools and transport operators are connected is something we settle in the first call.
The effort for the school is small because the transport operator already runs the system. Usually one appointment is enough for us to brief the office and import the master and tour data of your students. After that the daily routine runs through Vermo. Parents receive their access via the transport operator.
